  • Well my Brother in law found another one!!!

I'm NOT going to say what he paid for it. But I sang and he danced...and were not that good!!

He just bought a 1970 Chevelle SS 454

Need a little TLC, here's the story.
The guy Bryan (my brother in law) bought the car off of, bought the car in 1977. And made it into a drag car. Its got the #'s matching 454 block with 427 heads on it. 29,262 miles on the car. The cars been sitting sense 1997.
Its got ladder bars, safety loop, gauges, motors been built, tranny's built with a 3500 stall, rebuilt 12 bolt rear end. The guy for some reason even flipped the cowl hood thing so its on backwards.

Wont take much to put it back to stock though. I think Bryan is going to paint it the red with the black SS stripes. The guy repainted the car in lacquer, and its seen its day.
But for now its just going to be put in the corner and work on it when were bored.
I know its not an F body, but I hope you like it. Its a very solid car, even has the original body panels.
    Were VERY HAPPY with it!!

You wouldn't need much if you knew what he paid for it. Couldn't pass it up.
It would make some people cry!
I even borrowed him some $$$ to get it.

                Holy shit.

I really, really want to get another car - like a project.

But I also need to get a "newer" car (truck, probably) - then my IROC can be the project...

I'm no Chevelle expert, but it does not appear to have the correct SS rear bumper??

Looks like a great project though, and if it's truely a numbers matching SS 454 it will be quite valuable when finished. Have fun!

It's got the right bumper - but it's missing the black SS "insert" between the lights.

I was not sure how the SS pad/insert attached to the bumper. Thought there might be mounting stud holes, or something showing with the pad off ............

Sweet. He really needs to show me these cars. I've been over there a couple times and even hinted about his Firebird.
