LMAO...I know how we ALL love pictures!!!!

Decided to take a couple pictures of my Nephew Justyn's car today.



















We wet sanded with 1500 then with 2000 wheeled and washed, and wheeled and washed, wheeled and washed, and wheeled and washed.....yeah it was a long Saturday.

As you can tell the rear quarter.....shines pretty good. We took a tape measure and we could read 13" on the tape measure.
I hope my cars shines this well when its done.

btw.....this was a full restoration of this car.

wet sanding what is that do you actually sand it after you paint it and is the car wet or what i am lost

Basic description, Todd can jump in with a better one, but it's using a really fine sandpaper and keeping the surface wet. It helps lubricate the surface while you're sanding, and it also helps keep the really fine grit clean of getting gunked up.

And now, Todd, the most important question of the evening -- is he bringing his Formula to the M&G?

The car was painted the end of last year. It was never wet sanded or wheeled.

So, Saturday.....thats what we did.

You actually get a bucket of water with a little soap. And you get a flat block, wrap the sand paper around it and block the car flat. (actually sand the car) 1st with 1500 grit sandpaper. Then you do the same thing with 2000 grit sand paper.
Then you get the buffing wheel out and wheel 1st with a heavy cut, then with fine cut. Then you wash the car, dry it, then pit a nice coat of wax on it.

It took us from 1pm till about 9-10pm. We still missed a couple spots, but we will get those at a later date.

Actually hes got a baseball tournament that weekend. All 3 of us were planning on coming. Sort of a bummer for him. But he plays varsity baseball.

Depends on how much clear is on the car.
Most of the time you can just wheel out a car.

But doing it this way gets the clear "flat" so its shines really good.
