Nice Car.... Even the V6 version would be a great car. I think the V6 is 3.6 which is available in the Malibu, Aura and it runs high 14s. Looks like the GT is only 2500 more so it definatly a better value. Did you have to pay a gas guzzler tax?
It is on my list for a car to get 4 years down the road. In the next year I am looking into getting a GTO, Yea they don't look the best but for the money they are a great buy.

No gas guzzler tax. Not sure at what point they slap that on but it's rated 15 city 24 highway. I don't know with the new EPA mileage ratings where a gas guzzler fits in. The V6 is only rated at 17 city 25 highway if I remember right. There wasn't a huge difference. The 6 speed auto and active fuel management(drops to 4cyls when under light load) make it an efficient highway cruiser. The rating actually shows a range below the numbers as to what you can expect. Low of 12mpg for city and high of 29 for highway. First tank of gas we got 17.8mpg and that's some city and rural 2 lane driving. That's getting on it quite a bit playing with it. It should increase after the first few thousand miles like my SS did once the motor breaks in.

Those pictures don't do that color justice, but anyways that car is sex on wheels. I just wondered how smooth the transition is from 4 cylinders to 8 cylinders and vice versa, i've heard some people that have the trucks with the active fuel management did not like it. Anyways great purchase don't know what you paid but for around 30k can't beat it!!!sigpic

HAHAHA...I remember you going out and picking up a new truck and Trailblazer was it? for your wife last year! My wife is paying for this anyways, even though I said I'd help out with payments since I wanted it too and we'll be driving it quite a bit once we have the baby.Originally posted by Formula Z View Postpretty cool wade. start calling you "money"

Yeah, it's impossible to really capture this color. It has such a fine metallic that you just can't see it in pictures. It looks great in person. There's no indicator for when the AFM kicks in so I have no idea if it has even come on yet and if it has I haven't noticed it at all. I had test driven a Hemi Magnum RT when those came out and they have the same AFM deal since Chrysler and GM worked together on it. I didn't notice it when I had test driven that either. I was hoping for a light or something on the info center to come on so I could at least try to tell if it was working.

actually i would rather have it be a seemless transition, anyways your plan for mods sounds great. Get some pics up when you do those mods i wonder what it would sound like with an exhaust. I mean when it changes from 8 cylinders to 4 is it going to go from muscle car to weedwacker sound. jksigpic
