My wife and I took a G8 V6 for a test drive today. She drove. The stupid sales guy had to go with us so we just went around a large block and I never got to try it out. It rode nice and had a real nice interior and a HUGE trunk. It was pretty peppy for a V6 although my wife never really laid into it. I just read that this fall there will be a GXP version coming out with a detuned LS3 making 402HP and it will have an available 6 speed manual. Expected quarter mile time for the GXP version is 13.0! That's haulin for a family sedan!!!

It's not a bad looking car . . . way better than the GTO! Glad to see Pontiac finally coming back strong with a performance model.

There was a good write-up in the April issue of Automobile magazine about this car, they put it toe-to-toe with a BMW 3-series. Performance wise it was the Bimmer's equal, but they gave the BMW the win on luxury appointments.

But the BMW was over $60K, and the G8 was $33K - personally I'd rather have the ponies and the $$, skip the walnut interior! I like it.

the 6.0 is so much better, and yes there will be a manual.

vauxhall is the european version.. holden is the australian one. the ls2 is currently in thoes models, as the ls3 was never around when they came out years ago.

That's because you are 19. Wait till you have kids,then a four door is damn near a must. It's the perfect car,you can get the kids in and out easy,front wheel drive so the wife won't mind driving it in the snow,and you can still kick the sh#t out of most stock cars on the road.

With that car, 4-doors wouldn't be a problem at all, even though I'd like the 2-door better, it don't look bad with 4-doors either.

Charger and the Marauder are/were both 4-doors, it's a selling advantage.
