    murrays was having a sale so i went out and finally bought a cherry picker and engine stand

    now i can retire my ghetto-modified "engine stand" lol

    I like the chain and lift as the engine hoist!

    Looks to be coming along nicely. You plan on tearing in to that LT1 to even check out the problem or you just swapping engines and selling the caprice with a rod knock?

                  yea we got the roadmaster home around 7 or so then my friend came over and we yanked that out that night, firebird lt1 is almost ready to be pulled and hopefully will be out tonight. i am trying to get the formula up and running and for sale by friday.

                  roadmaster is on ebay and i'm going to keep the LT1 and save it for a project next winter i have in mind

                      i'm going out the bottom, just need to finish unhooking the wiring, trans mount and the 6 cradle bolts or whatever

                      the pic looks like im going out the top but i was just storing the cherry picker like that out of the way

                        oh ok cool. yea bottom is easier. disconnecting the trans in the car sucks!!!

                          yea we had to unhook the trans half way through pulling the LT1 from the roadmaster because our hoist did not have enough clearance, that was not fun
