    It stands for High Dynamic Range, usually, you take 3 different exposures and combine them so that all areas of the picture have proper exposure- no overly light or dark areas. whats the url of the thread he did it in for you? im trying to find a program to do this properly and got a few Q's for him. if you only had a single exposure to give him, he probably only edited the image with tone mapping. which looks good too, but certain areas get saturated to compensate for the other areas. if you take three seperate images, you will have a much better combined exposure

    heres an example, clearly, this would never be possible with a single exposure.

      Yeah - that looks really sweet.

      Many newer [advanced] video games take advantage of a "HDR" system within the game itself. It controls the lighting to make it more like how it would be if it were real life - your screen (thus iris) has to adjust, which may, for example, create a very bright screen for a few seconds after coming out of a tunnel into the daylight.

      It's really cool.

      Top is with HDR

      Bottom is without.

        thanks for clearing that up as I was kinda confsed on what exactly it was lol here is the thread and there ar many amazing pictures and even a link of an explaination.

              Is that a stock size Ram Air hood? The cowl looks bigger...I don't know maybe it's just the angle of the picture.
