squire turbo systems or something like that...rear mounted turbos. an inexpensive way to turbo a vehicle, i've never been a huge fan of their kits, but some like them...

Both posts above are right. The nice thing about an STS kit are increased turbo lines and more air flow for the turbo. The increased lines under the car create more surface area for the wind to hit to cool the exhaust in them. Cool air = more power

STS sytems due have some advantages as well as disadvantages. I personally would rather run a conventional turbo up under the hood.

well not really.. actually, cool exhaust = LESS power

just an FYI, a major downside to the STS system is the cooler exhaust entering the turbo..

I thought colder air = more power. That's what they said on 1 of those shows on speed when they put 1 of those STS turbo's on a full size truck.

Cooler air going in yes, but what I think he's saying is that the exhaust that drives the turbo will get cooler too thereby losing velocity. At the same time, the turbo itself doesn't get as hot, so there's + & - to it.

Yessir.. you can have an STS on a lot of cars, it's not an "STS Camaro" like a "Berger Camaro" or "SLP Camaro"
