Sorry, just my opinion but the '77 looks like a wannabe from other cars of that era, and the scion and the truck are not great either. Their cars aren't horrid . . . they are just boring IMHO.
But I think people that buy them don't care too much, they want something practical that is reliable. And Toyota is very good at practical and reliable. When it comes to exciting & interesting, well, uh-uh.sigpic

Toyota never had much design back in the 60's and 70's. They took popular cars from the era and made a few changes to the design and then produced them. Still today they don't produce anything really groundbreaking. Just popular design queues put together in one vehicle.Comment

Well they dedicated 1/2 the show to this car, so somebody must like them. That Meguiars guy from the show said it looked like a mustang and when I saw it the rear end looked a lot like an old Ford Stang or Torino. It is not my favorite design, but I can appreciate some of the features they added to the car. At the time it cam nearly fully equipped with all the premium options and a peppy motor.Comment
