  • Aloha tribute meets Aloha movie car

Well, it finally happened...my car met the real movie car!
Drove them through San Francisco to the Golden Gate Park. The people along the streets would stare and comment about the first one and then they would see the second one behind it and go "Oh my gosh, theres two!"
It was weird seeing it in front of me.

Is the movie car nosed too? Looks like it's got more of an overhang on it. The fender flares look bigger and wider too. Looks like it's a bit lower than yours as well. Where's the drag race video??? That would be killer to see!

The front ends are almost the same height on level ground. His rearend does sit lower, propably due to the wider flares, so it can get lower, plus the original was originally a Trans Am race car. Raced by the team James Garner owned.

My car is a tribute to the car from the movie "Aloha Bobby and Rose" made in 1975. It was the next movie Paul LeMat made after "American Graffiti" . Paul drove the yellow 32 in American Graffiti.

The movie car was made for Trans Am racing before it was bought for the movie. We could not find decent pics of the car till mine was almost done and then came across some. At that point I was not having them go back and redo it.
The nose could have been altered, all the seams on the real car had been filled. This car by the VIN# is a 67 Z-28! Which makes sense for Trans Am racing, and then someone modified it to 68 looks.

No way...Move car looks BADASS!!!! It looks even meaner and nastier than Randy's does. It's amazing what just a few subtle differences make to change the look of the car.

The real car DOES look meaner in person.
Since you won't see the two together though, it is hard to tell.
Like I said, way cool driving through the streets behind him. The first thing I noticed when I saw it in the trailer....look at the license plates!

I figured you copied the plate.

Total coincidence, he said he has a few different plates for it.
I just did it for the movie title.
