  • Check out what I drove this weekend...

It is a 1985 Corvette, it belongs to Jen's dad. It was awesome. Crusing a beautiful car through the windey country roads and along some beautiful sparkling lakes on a warm breezy day. Just the fact that Jim has come to trust me with his baby makes me feel great! I must say, C4 corvettes are cool, but not nearly as comfortable as a firebird.

And here is my aunts 35th anniversary Camaro

I thought all the vettes of a given year had the same dashes? I didnt know there was an option?

Neat car, not the most awesome performing 'Vette, but cool car nevertheless.

All had digital gauges if I remember right. That was a big ***** from purists that there were no real gauges. At the Corvette museum in Bowling Green they had a prototype mechanical cluster that didn't make it into the cars. I HATE the ultra high sill step in to get into the C4's. Once you sit down it feels like your ass is dragging on the ground! I loved the ride/handling of my dad's 81 Vette but it had only like 190hp! Gotta love the heavy smog era!

Maybe my uncles are from an earlier or later 'vette. It is all custom but to me they seemed stock.

Meh, c4s are the pansy vettes, but cool none the less -- the gauges are sweet no doubt.

Those cars are still "pansy" by todays standards.

No. Ill tell you whats pansy, a late C3. Nothing screams performance like those smogariffic cars. A 5.7TPI C4 will blow the doors off one of those, and is leaps and bounds ahead in suspension and body technology. Then theres another huuuge jump from c4 to c5.
