  • The good, the bad, and Michigan wildlife...

Had a lot going on with the car over the last few days......

    The Good
-Polished out sail panel and put new decals

-Red PONTIAC Inlay on rear bumper

-Painted Calipers - The pads aren't painted black, they just have a black backing with dark blue brake lube.

    -Full front brake job,

-Hurst Billet Plus shifter, Lou's Short Stick, B&M T-handle (cause I haven't got my ball yet and had this laying around)

    The Bad
-They sent me the wrong side markers for the front so right now I'm still repping the ambers

-My front rotors that were turned have 10x more pulsation then before

    -LSS hits my console.

-As soon as I sprayed clear onto the Trans Am decals on the calipers they would peel right up. Maybe the type of paint? What did you guys use? So right now I don't have them on but once I find a different clear I'll put them on and clear over them.

-Coming home Thursday night a deer ran out in front of me and my 3 choices were hit the van coming the other way, hit the deer, swerve into emergency lane. I picked the Emergency lane and got sucked into the ditch when my brakes locked. Thought that didn't happen with ABS?

Yeah! It f'n blows! The part that really pisses me off is it was more of a field then a ditch. I drove out no problem but it was just enough to catch my bumper.

OUCH! - But on the bright side, you came out a LOT better than if you would have went with one of the other options (hit the deer or the van head on)

Yeah but it still pisses me off. I've been beating the crap out of my grand marquis for 4 years now without an accident. I had the Trans Am less then a month and this happened.

Should have hit the deer, then insurance would have covered it all with no deductible......remember people, always hit the wildlife when you have a choice

I probably would of died to be honest. It jumped out RIGHT in front of me. I would of been going 55-60 on impact!

on the bright side... youre gonna love how that car looks with fresh paint on the front bumper. It wont be near as dull as it is now.

As crappy as it looks I'm going to drive it like it is until winter. A good friend of my dad's runs a body shop and is going to hook me up on labor. I'm gonna wait until winter and get my bumper painted and put on my new hood. Not sure if I want a WS6 replica or find a Raptor.
