un hooking the bar doesn't do much. You must remove it. Mine has been out for 3 years.
sounds like you need some better tires

this is what mine looks like.I need adjustable front shocks. I set the rears at full soft to get it to hook but thats the wrong thing to do. I also need a larger rear sway bar so it doesn't roll over on the right rear tire like that

almost lifting the front wheel......... nice!,,,, well thebig problem tires!,,,, im racing in a street stock v8 category, and drag radials, cheeters or even bfgoodrich are forviden, thats why i need to improve using street comercial kinda tire, even the lowest tread wear i can use is 160,,,, so thats the big challenge, how to make the best traccion on 160tread wear,,,,,, its kinda hard to achieve but i want to make the best of them..... any ideas? thanks

I tell ya what, if you can put an adjustable torque arm on her i wold go with the JEGS P# 550-40097 THAT thing is sweet, we have that on ower 1996 firebird turbo, and she lounches awsome, no tire spin at all... and lounches hard too, we also ran lakewood, LCA P# 620-20140 THEY work nice also,
the torque arm is about $305 AND THE LCA ARE ABOUT $98. AND SHE WILL HOOK....
YOU JUST HAVE TO DO SOME TESTING AND ADJUSTING... FOR SURE...

what's the traction rating on your tires?
my car does lift the front end on motor and spray. I don't have any good pics on spray.

I would go with some Adj. LCA and relocation brackets. and also an Adj TQ Arm. O and Those look like some 28" on Larry's car right there

id go for a set of lca relocation brackets first off. they change your instant center and allow you to hook better. then take off the sway bar, move the battery to the trunk, and fit the widest 16 you can get. away with. A stall will help too, but i think you also need to just practice your launches.
Also when i read your post about how you race it, it sounded almost like you are revving in neutral then shifting into drive, is that true?

youll want to hold one foot on the brake and one on the gas and give it gas just until it wants to spin the tires, once the third yellow light hits, let off the brake and lay into the gas. I would just hold it to the floor regardless of spin, because if youre upshifting and then downshifting, youre not giving it near enough throttle

no im not reving in neutral,,,,, im launching in first gear, to get grip i dont floor the gas pedal, and then shifting up,,, well basically just first gear to drive couse if i try to get traction in drive the car will sudenly shift to early to second, and then if that happens y need to floor the gas and the car will shift back to first gear and then to second gear again.... wich really sucks,
I was wondering is some 15"X8" rims would fit in this car, havent tried dough, i dont know if i got the clearence do to the calipers but if i can im planning on hooking in son bf goodrich radials t/a size 295/50/15s wich theyll give me more area higher side wall but not over all height than the 245/50/16s i got.
just ordered the lca relocation brakets, have to wait atleast 7 days or 12 maybe to get them. the adjustable pernhardrod, and thats about it by know..... cant wait to get them,,, want a 3000 rpm stall convertor, ant the bf tires!
