  • Summit House Brand Lowering Springs?????????

Does anyone have any experience with these? I want to buy lowering springs for my 83 Trans Am, but I'm on a tight budget and someone tipped me off to the Summit brand kit which is only $159 compared to the rest in the $240 to $300 range. I am thinking about getting them, but I want to see if anyone has had any problems with them or if anyone knows how they ride. they dont give an exact number of how much they lower, just that they are between 1 and 1.5 inch's. That kinda of made me think that they must not have very tight tolerance's during manufacturing which is a tip off to low quality. But I dont want to rule them out based on an assumption.

So if anyone can please comment on their quality and ride characteristics, that would be great.

    I'm looking at part number : SUM-720102

They're pretty new yet so I doubt anybody has them on their car, let alone a 3rd gen. I think they came out about in December/January with them. I remember seeing them just after I had purchased mine. I couldn't find any info on spring rates or who made them.

"The progressive-rate springs will lower your vehicle between 1 in. and 1.5 in., depending upon the application."

Not all lowering springs will lower the car to an exact amount, b/c a cars weight can vary.
