Need some opinions

O.k. I bought these rims with plans to narow my 9" but I couldn't convince the people that were going to cut it to cut 1 3/4 off each end.

So here is what I'm left with:
This is about 3" past the body






Stock tire:
This is about 2.5 past the body



The drag rims are 16 x 10 and I forgot to check the back spacing.

Can I have the drag rims cut and shortend 1.5 inches or just sell them and get new?

Easy solution.....get a third gen rear end.....problem solved 2" narrower per side.
