  • Brakes For the Bird?

So I havea 1997 3.8L Firebird. I bought a Trans Am rear axle and brakes off a 93 0r 94. I am looking to drive my car quite a distance to drop it off for paint and wanted to know what kind of brakes should I get? I would like to get some slotted / crossdrilled rotors and some good pads for the front and back. Is there any difference in the front brakes of the 3.8 vs the T/A? Or should I buy brake parts for a T/A only, which would mean I would probably need new front calipers??? Help me out guys Please! I'm looking to have these ordered or in my possession by the end of this week.

    Thanks!

brakes for the 93-97 fbody are the same. 98-02 have different size and such. So you would want rotors made for the 93-97 fbody. I can get you Roto-Tech drilled and slotted rotors for ya, there is a special right now through my supplier on them. I personally have them on my car and they have worked great for the past year.

here is a pic of them on my car

        Those look sharp.

The black wheel really sets off the red caliper.
