  • Rear suspension question

I am installing a new tubular panhard bar on a 97 trans am. The original bolts i took out are in pretty bad shape, my question is if I can use a regular bolt as long as it fits snug in the sleeve for the bushing. Or should i try and find replacement bolts.

I would go to dealer and get the correct size.

As long as you find grade 8 bolts in the same size you should be good
When in doubt, Whip it out !

Well, my 91 bird and my brothers 98 camaro both had bols with shoulders mid way up the bolt making them both unique. I actually went out to get grade 8 bolts for my cars too, but found that the shank diameter doesn't fit the inside of the bushing. You might get away with finding the correct one from somewhere like suburban bolt or something.
