I replaced the old worn out leafs in my 79 T/A with some 5 leaf springs from AMES performance. They look great, and they raised the rear end by about an inch and a quarter. So here is my question: The old shocks are blown out, and aren't hooked up yet. So what should I replace them with? The same stock size? Do I need to upgrade to a new, longer shock? How do you spec one out? This is the first time I have modified a suspension from the original specs, so I'm not sure how to proceed. I don't want the shocks and springs to be fighting each other.
