nittos drag radials

I just put some nittos 555r drag radials. i have a 99 t/a ws6 many mods about 450 rwhp . these tires wont hook up at all at the track even with 15 lbs tire pressure. its a auto tranny 2900 stall. any suggestions on getting this thing to hook. i heard mickey thompson e/t streets?????

I have the 26/11.5 ET Streets and they hook a lot better then the 555r ever did for me. At one point I was able to get them to hook, they spun the tire in rim.
Try heating them up more next time you go out.

The Mickey drag radials will hook better, but will your 10 bolt hold up? I am using the Nittos to try to prolong the life of my 10 bolt.

well heatwed them up real good and just dusted them and still spun them. only have 3:23 gears also . and from what i have been told by a few speed shops these rear ends hold up real good so not really worried about the rear end , knock on wood lol. thanks for yhe responses

An auto car with a 2900 stall isn't too hard on the rear end. With a numerically lower gear like a 3.23 the gear itself should be thicker and stronger then something like a 4.11.

7.5" 10 bolts aren't strong by any means. If you're trying to hook with no spin on a regular basis I'd be ready for a rear swap. Some have good luck with them, but I think that's exactly what it is.....luck
