  • LCA/Pinion question

I finally got around to driving my car yesterday, for more than a 5 minute ride.. Something felt just a little off, it could very well be just getting use to a new rear end and how the car handles now vs the 10 bolt. Anyways, when I got home today I wanted to recheck my pinion angle, with the car level the pinion is at -2*. Which is where I wanted it.. I then checked the LCA's and found they are at a -1* vs a +2*(which I believe is correct). I am going to move them to the bottom hole to get that angle correct(I am currently 1 hole up from bottom). My question is, since I have adjustable LCA's, Should I just adjust the length of them and move them to the bottom hole or should I leave them at their current length and readjust the pinion as needed? I am thinking I can just adjust them to fit? I might be putting too much thought into this, but figured it wouldn't hurt to get some opinions.. Thanks!

your torque arm is what will need to be adjusted in order to change it. however you want it at -2* if i remember right so therefore you really are not that far out of spec with it..

does the car vibrate at all or act weird when hammering down on it?

Hard to explain, just felt off which got me to checking things. So, lca angle should also be -2*? i thought they were supposed to be +2*? Pinion is currently at -2*.. I need to get under the car this weekend.

The LCA should be running down from the body to the axle around 2 degrees.

That's what I thought. My LCA's are currently running slightly up. Moving them to the bottom relocation bracket hole should fix that.
