I've always bought them from and had them installed at either McCormick Racing or Harlow Tire.

I thought slicks were better to static balance?

Any shop static balances. All that is is putting all wheel weights on the inside of the wheel.

I took mine to Belle tire. They said they had to put them in the truck tire cage, took 80 psi to seat the bead

correct.. unless you go to some hole in the wall place that has a tire machine from the 80's then im sure they can static balance them

I was thinking of applying 3 coats of dish soap over 3 days then mounting them.

But okay, I didn't know a regular tire shop could balance static.

They do that at tire shops?
I don't do enough wheels to justify buying a bubble balance.

Static and bubble balance should be the same.

Do not let them dynamically balance them - they'll shake like a mother.
