  • Rim with Backspacing

What backspacing would I need to run a 15x4 up front and a 15x9 out back?

Then I would look like a monster truck and order wheels based on what you said!

              http://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tir...kinda-far.html

Basically what I am looking at. Guy says his are sticking out kinda far?

So what about a 2.5" backspace?

              EDIT:

Just measured from the back off the rotor to the hat and its ~2.5". So if I understand this correctly, that means the rim will stick out out a 4" rim 1.5" past the rotor hat which would tuck it nicely in the wheel well.

              http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wl...b65a/overview/
              9.275" rim with a 6.5" backspace.

Is this what we are saying will work?

9" rear rim needs 6.5 bs but why get a 9" when 10" would be more ideal IMO. Also check jimsracingtires.com they have package deals and best prices I've sen on RTS wheels.

Okay so you are saying just run the 15x10.

With a 15x10 you would want a 7.5" back space correct?

Would I want the low pad or the medium pad?

For 15x10 yes 7.5bs is what you want. Any other bs for 10'' would make your camaro look like the vanilla ice mustang.

By the way I ninja edited. See post above.

This also brings up what slicks to run.

Says max rim size recommends is 9.6".
