Sure you need screws? FWIW, I run bias ply slicks without tubes. 4020# and a 1.7s 60'. Never spun the tire on the tube. I run 13-15# pressure any less and the tire run on the edges of the rubber.

I am not sure what I am doing yet. I just wanted to get an idea if others have done it. It almost looks like the lips of the rims would put the screws really low in the sidewall.sigpic
