11 inch wide wheels on a 4th gen fitment

any one running this wide of tire?

i'm looking at a set of American Racing Torq Thrust 2 wheels, there 17"x 11" and I have a couple of questions.

Will the 11" wide wheels require any fender modifcations, or wheel spacers be needed?

So i'm wondering how are the wheels gonna fit up front, also what size tire will i need to run? is a wider tire going to mess with the stering ablility?

If you go anything over 265-275 on the front, it is going to wonder ALL over the road. I have done 17x11 ZR1s with 295 on the front and 325s on the rear. Looked mean, drove like crap!

With a lot of freeway driving maybe 11" wheels on the front will be too much.. might just sell 2 of the wheels and get 9.5 or 10inch wide.. it's too good of a deal to pass up on..

17x11 is a bit to much on the front IMO.. 9.5 are perfect.

Are these the same torque thrusts on craigslist?

I agree! I'm on 325s in the rear, but I rolled my lips.

Wheel offset is key with a 315 out back. Tire brand will have an effect as well. Some may require rolling your fenders which sounds like you're covered, some may require a bumpstop trim and inner fender massaging ala BFH. Def pick up a adjustable pan hard to make sure the rear is centered.

i run a 315 in an 18 variety and have done all four.

Thanks guys for the information. Yes, these are the wheels on craigslist. So it sounds like I will sell 2 of the wheels and go with a 9.5" wide up front.

i shouldnt have any clearance issues. just bolt right um. i didnt get an adjustable panhard just a solid one from founders, may have to look at selling that one and getting an adjustable.

If they are the polished ones I wouldnt bother. Do they look good sure, but keeping them clean is a sob, and dont look good as chrome

i dont have a problem with keeping them clean. as a single guy that works all the time i need something to keep me sain!!! lol

wax, motheres mag polish and powerball.. and a few hours everything looks good!

Well I went and got the wheels when i first seen them they didn't look like 11" wheels. Even the boxes said 17x9.5 so i asked him what size tires he ran when he told me 275/40/17 i knew for sure he was in fact unsure of what he had... wheels are in great shape. Just need to be cleaned up and a good wax put back on them. Well im kind of released now. Because alot of the 315 wide tires were back ordered. Thanks guys for your help
