  • Got my order in from Founders today.

I got some suspension parts for my birthday =)

    Everything looks great

I have a question about bolt in lower control arm relocation. Would it be a bad idea to still weld them in?

I liked the idea of the bolt in lining up a lot easier.

I would always recommend welding over just bolting them in

As to what Jeff and dave said, I bought the bolt in set, only cause i don't race the car on a ragular basis.

Only reason I bought a bolt in set is so I can sell them when I go to a 9" or S60, ect.

I guess I'm not understanding this idea do you remove them when your not racing?

i went with bolt in just so i could see how the car reacts to the change... For some cars its not an improvement. But definitely weld them in the long run.

I understand but I don't see why you couldn't reuse the stock hole location on a wleded in set the bolt in bolts through there but once its welded couldn't you move it to either of the 3 holes?

The only time a car would not benefit from some sort of relocation bracket would be if you lifted it.

Some stock height cars might not need them in a road racing application.

Something like this would be the absolute best.

Gonna need to grind-off the powdercoat to weld them on. I'm undecided on mine so far. I installed them and GAINED wheel hop

I think what most meant is if you're not racing it a bunch the bolt in should hold fine rather than going through the trouble of grinding the powdercoat off and all that. Bolt in everyone can do in their own garage.

Congrats on the new goodies, John! I'm anxiously waiting for their torque arm relocation bracket. Unfortunately they said it's on their list but no where near the top.

I would recommend welding them, but my last car went single digits and a 1.3x 60 foot on a set of founders LCA brackets just bolted in. Broke the 9" rear before I had any problems with the relo brackets
