Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
The rims I have on my car are the formula style 8" rim and my 245s just aren't doing the trick. I spin clear through 2nd gear. I was wondering what you guys think would be the widest tire I could fit on the rims.

On 16's the biggest you'll find that's close to the right diameter is 255/50/16. 275's are suggested for a 9" rim.

Well you could always put some wide truck tire on it. Not gonna find any speed rated tires for a 16 wider than 255.

Mickey Thompson is in the process of comming out with a 275 for a 16. They are the drag radials ad trust me you'll have a very hard time spinning them.

255's are plenty sticky when you've got the MT's. I have them on my car and the only time I spun them at the track was doing a launch off the rev limiter.

Thats great to hear as I will be buying those tires shortly and hoping to cut some nice 60's at the track.
Not odd that they offer them in 275/40/17. They're a 9" rim. Justin has 16x8's on his 3rd gen.

i have 255 on my 15x7 work fine, for slicks the biggest i could fit was 275 but that was pushing the very edge of what that rim could hold.. 275 would be fine on 8 inch wide i think... just dont get crazy doing doughnuts or the tires might say no and stay behind...lol
but ya the rain thing isnt fun... you get use to going sideways after a while.. and just outta habit let off the gas just before a shift..lol
