  • use 4l80e tranny

just bought a D1SC procharger system fo my 02 ta . motor city speed will be building a ls7 complete setup. now looking for a 4l80e tranny that will handle at least 800 rwhp. . im in contact with rossler and jakes. has anyone any feedback back about either or know of any like new used ones . thank you Also will have a t56 for sale w/ tick master and mgw short throw for sale in next couple of months . tranny was rebuilt w/ stage 2 at phils transmission in clio. has only 6000 on it i would say nice miles no idea what it might be worth also will have a spec 3 plus clutch and a like new drive shaft that has to be replaced due to hp increase.

Billy Briggs does build some serious horsepower. Plus a procharger? Damn. Try Performabuilt. performabuilt.com They're a trans sponsor on LS1tech and I've heard a lot of good things about their transmissions.

I had a Performabuilt 60E in my LT1 camaro. Car made barely 400whp and went through 3 transmissions all within a year due to a defective (snap ring) for 3rd that they have since fixed. Before the failing snap ring the transmission worked awesome. They also paid to have it shipped back and I got a new transmission within a week everytime. They did stand behind their transmissions for me. Only inconvenience is having to have the car towed home and the time/labor of pulling the trans out.

had the same issue, had a snap ring fail and they wouldnt stand behind it. the first time it failed was for losing 3rd and 4th gears. i sent it back they fixed it but tranny never felt the same and they told me they had to detune it so it would last longer, then the snapring failed soon after and they told me i was out of warranty, which i was but it failed twice before it was

and i had to pay for shipping and labor myself, even the first time it failed

Alright thank you. Ill check them out also. They will be getting my car by feb 15. Complete chassis and suspension they will be changing out also. Rearend is being removed to have repainted. I was planning in sending my ccwheels to black diamond wheels for that pvd black chrome. But I read a bad review on it from California chrome. Im not able to find any reviews on this pvd process on aluminum wheels. Ccwheel is not real familiar with them either. If anyone knows about this process or black diamond wheels I would sure appreciate feedback. Just read some feedback on performabuilt ..thank you. Motor city speed will be shooting for 650 to 750 Rwhp. So the whole manual setup will be for sale. As I stated the t56 ;spec3 plus clutch; tick master cylinder; pedals; mgw short throw; crossmember.

That is shitty..within warranty they should cover everything. "Should" being the keyword.
