Picked up a set of drag radials now I need something for the front

Picked up a set a MT ET Steets yesterday to go on my chrome 5 spoke wheels, but I need some tires for up front. Dont really plan on driving on them very often if at all, need something reasonably priced that will handle the speeds of the track safely.

Ideas?

The chrome 5 spokes are 16's....

Soo I assume id need a 235-55/16. Which everywhere I look only shows one or two different tires. Neither appear to be anything I want. Is that not the correct size?

You could use a 245/50r16, the stock size for most LS1 f-bodies w/ 16" rims. You may find more of a selection in that size

I was thinking about getting another pair of factory wheels and getting them narrowed down to 5" for the front and putting a narrower front tire on my z28.

Any idea on cost for something like that?

Call Weldcraft and ask them but I believe I remember the priced being around $200 a wheel.

Yikes, at that point id just get some summit fast fives. Less than a $100 a wheel, and are in better shape than my 12 year old 5 spokes, considering theyd be new, lol. Dad is going to ask his tire guy if he has a pair of something in good enough shape to use at the track today, if so, pictues of the track pack tonight!

What the hell, its only money. I think that the "its different than what everybody else has" is worth at least that much.
