my 165s look great up front lol, I really think 275s are a little big up there, mine rubbed on stock wheels and tire sizes.

Yeah, but can you fit 165's on a 9.5" wide rim? I have 240's on mine right now (17 x 9.5), and they are WAY too small, the width of the rim is too wide for a tire that narrow.

obviously not, I was being sarcastic. I would run 245s on a 9" wheel though I personally don't like having wide tires up front unless your road course or autocross racing.

I don't think a bit narrower tire would be nearly as bad as long as it was quite a bit taller...sidewall might bulge out a bit more.

Unfourtunatly it looks like hankook doesn't make the ventus v-12 in a 295 35 18, 295 30 18 is as big as they go. So I either need to get my original size idea or go with a BFG kdw2 for more money or see what they have over at firestone as far as sizes. I have a friend over there so some times he can help me out price wise.

no it will still look bad. not only that but it will also lift the car itself up more too and make it look even more 4x4.. trust me.. either just leave them stock height if you too scared to lower it or lower it and make it look like it should

Don't give up yet. Have you considered Toyo? T1R's... Have always had good luck with Toyo for truck and car. They were reasonable too...

So do you or anyone else know a good place for a good price on tires? And neither discount or tirerack seem to carry Toyo for some reason. well discount does but they dont have any in my size on the website. Tire rack does however sell a brand of tire called "dick cepek" which sounds wayyy too close to dick seepage for me to put it on my car.

Well, i can attest to the KDW's being crazy loud tires. I have the C5 Z06 18x10.5's on all 4 corners, and went with the Hankooks in front(285/35) and Mickey Thompson 305/35's in the rear. I would run the 275's up front, but not the 265's, too narrow looking. The hassle/problem i had was finding a company that made front and rear tires that woudl fit rim and car that were close enough in size to no piss off the ABS, And.....i wanted 305's minimum in the rear, and actually these 305's measrue wider than the 315/30's that MT makes, so i am happy with the width.

Depending on what tires you choose, online might be your cheapest tire route, than take and have them mounted locally.

Now there is 5/16" spacers on the fronts, but i don't think they are necessary, but the tire shop threw them on for free, because they were worries i would rub the rim on the spindle or something, although i knew these wheels would fit. I plan on removing the spacers this winter and checking clearance to see if they are really necessary. I think i kinda like the look with the spacers though, as it makes them sit close to flush with the fender. I am almost thinking about adding some 5/16" spacers to the rear to bring them out a bit more flush. The car already had the BFH done to the rear, and i have no rubbing. I am going to roll the rear fenders for peace of mind, but haven't rubbed there yet.




And yes, the calipers are due for some paint this winter as well.
