  • Line lock questions

I'm looking to buy a line lock and just had these quick question if someone can help me out please:

How are most line lock switches installed in the interior? Does anyone have pic of their interior with a line lock installed?

I want to keep everything stock appearing as much as possible, and I don't want to permanently mount the line lock switch in a certain spot because I will likely move it later. Can a line lock be concealed pretty well?

    Thanks!

mine is in the ash tray
to be "legal" you must have a toggle switch and a momentary switch

I agree, but I've never been asked anywhere.... Then again, they've never even looked under my hood..

Harris speedworks.... I drilled the 5th hole for the line lock and swapped out the acc switch for my cutout switch... Got mine here, like 60 bucks: http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/home.php

Awesome, its definitely going in that spot then. So since you only have the one switch, how does it work exactly?

It's just a momentary switch. Pump the brakes, push switch down, do burnout, release switch...

So you have to hold the switch down to keep the brakes locked? I thought it was more on/off thing. What brand line lock do you have? Should I just go for the cheapest one I can find?

                            Bought mine from SJM manufacturing:
                            http://www.sjmmanufacturing.com/cam_brk_ls1.html

Comes with pre bent lines, an on/off switch, and a momentary switch. 6+ years with no issues. I also mounted mine in the ash tray. The switch on the left is my cutout and the otehr 2 are for the line lock.
