Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

You should not need wheel spacers with C5 wheels and a 275 tire. I know people running a 315 tire on a 10 inch wheel only using the BFH mod. Wheel spacers is not the issue something else is if your tires are rubbing.
I was under the impression that the backspace on stock vette wheels required rear wheel spacers? Aftermarket vette wheels made for our cars dont require them. Do you have a pic of the side of the car. How far do the wheels sit in or out of the well. Eric L

measure both sides from the rear fender lip to the tire.. see if one side is closer then the other. if so you need to get an adjustable panhard bar. if not then you must be rubbing on both sides which shouldnt be happening with only a 275 tire on there.
The reason I asked was because I have 17 x 9.5 wheels on mine and Im NOWHERES near hitting on the inner. I know his tire is a little taller, but it sounds like his wheels have more backspace than needed. So id like to see a pic down the side of the car, just to make sure the wheels arent stuck inside the wheel wells like a v6 car. Eric L

my friend made some spacers for his vette wheels at his work, ive seen the bfh mod tho,its the backspace, i have a stock backspace 11inch rim with 315's and no rub

I believe C5 wheels have a different offset then what is required on an F-body.
But I also have never seen an F-body that had a dead center rear from the factory. Even at stock height they tend to be biased towards the left and need a shorter panhard bar.

I'm pretty sure they do, if they're off a Vette. Nick needed wheel spacers in the rear for his C6 rims.
C5 wheels bolt right up, I have put them on my car from a C5 corvette, taken them right off and put them right on just to see how they would look. C6 wheels are different from C5 arent C6 18/19 too?
3rd gens are different than 4th gens though Darren.
The rear end is wider on a 4th gen, they shouldnt be rubbing with a 275 tire tho... I have 4th gen wheels on my car now and only needed a small spacer so they wouldnt rub on the back of the wheel well.
