  • Ride Height Issue

Anyone ever have a problem with ride height in just the rear of the car?

I have recently been told that my passenger side rear its lower than my drivers side. When measured, the passenger side sits at 26" from the bottom of the tire to the top of the wheel well. The drivers side sits at 27.5" from the bottom of the tire to the top of the wheel well. We tried to solve this problem by dropping the rear end to check the springs, and we couldn't find any problem with the springs or the "pucks". We even tried to swap the springs with each other but when we put the car back together it still sat lower on the passenger side. Anyone have any thoughts?

Its so the car sits level when you are in it. 90% of the time you're in your car, you're alone.

scott when we were both on LMD the other day i wasnt noticing anything at all. an inch and a half difference seems like a hell of a lot though... more than enough to be noticeable. im the guy that can spot an upsidedown bowtie a mile away

Well maybe... I know my fat ass would definitely drop the car over an inch and a half.... Maybe I will sit in it and remeasure, so I can finally sleep at night knowing I have one less problem.

          Things to do:
          -Ride Height Issue
          -Ball Joints
          -Badges / Upside-down Bowtie
          -Headers

put stock springs back in the rear, and if you want a even more raked look with a nice squat off the line for cheap get stock v6 springs.

Call me crazy, but in the last couple days I feel like it appears that the rear is riding at the same height. I haven't measured it, but it looks awfully close

if you need help on the headers gimme a shout. We could put it up on the hoist over at my place and knock it out in an evening.

As mentioned before the height difference L to R of and F-body is common. It's usually in the area of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. If it's more then one thing you can do is check the spring orientation. The lower pigtails of both rear springs should point towards the front of the car.

Have to buy some first. Don't know when that is going to be

On a related note, I found out my bro was looking into to getting me headers for my last b-day, but he couldn't find a pair cheap enough to buy me...DAMN!
