Ok there is a difference in ls1 and lt1 rotors, I looked up on Oreilley site and 2 different manufacturers list different P/N's for a 2000 z28 and a 1995 z28. Both front and rear. I expect pads would be same thing.

lt1 cars use a setup up vary simliar to 89-92 f-cars, its a 11.8 in vented rotor with a intregal park brake (caliper double as a parking brake) while the 98+ f-cars received a 12.0 in vented rear rotor with the drum in hat style e-brake, pads size on both is close, but the brakes a direct upgrade just remove your old stuff down to the rear axle flange and bolt on the new backing plates, calipers, and rotors, this required removing the rear end cover and removing your pinion shaft in order the get the axles out to be able to remove the backing plates. you could probably get new pads and rotors for your lt1 setup much cheaper then going to a ls1 setup and having to get new rotors and pads on top of that.

Heres my Rotor/Pad thread from earlier this year

ATE Premium One Rotors with Hawk HPS Pads
I paid approx $500 but since B's car is a Hybred of both systems and parts need to be purchased individually it may cost more.
BTW guys Drilled and Slotted is way overkill for a street car. In fact aftermarket pads create less gas build up which was the reason for using the D/S rotors in the first place.
I've been hammering on my setup all summer and it's very impressive.

Yeah I vaguely remembered the condition of the pads and rotors being like new on the rear end. The front - not so much. And if I'm going to upgrade the front, it'd look funny having new d/s rotors on the front and not on the back.Originally posted by MP81 View PostBrian has an LS1 brake setup, in the rear. LS1 rotors, calipers, with the drum in disk e-brake.
And those things are practically new, Brian (the rear rotors and pads).

Agreed on them being far from necessary for my, or 95% of the people on this boards application. I did them 100% for the looks.

Hey Craig, I am looking at buying a set of these. Do you have a link to where you bought yours? Also they come up under Tirerack.com in a google search, does that mean they would be available locally?Originally posted by 9T8W66 View PostHeres my Rotor/Pad thread from earlier this year
