ive got pacesetter LTs on my car with the cats being the lowest point and i still havent touched anything with factory ride height. i could probably go down 1" easy, but personally id rather have the ground clearance... the wheel gap on my car doesnt seem as bad as many of the 4th gens i see.

i need to get around to lowering mine... order the spings months ago... but never got around to putting them in... brand is canuck motor sports... ive used some of there other products before but never springs but they look good... im thinking i might only drop the front though the back has a pretty good stance already just need to see if i cant drop the front an inch or 2 without dragging any exhaust...

Don't forget about DMS (Dynamic Motor Sports) springs. They have been quite popular on the 4th gen cars and is what I have on my car. http://www.dynamicmotorsports.com/

Other good springs are the BMR, Hotchkis, and the LG Motorsport G2 springs but they are very FIRM and ride harsh compared to others on the market. But they are a good track spring, just a little rough on the street.

The DMS springs dramatically improve the handling of the car by removing the front end nose diving under braking and much of the side to side sway the weak factory springs allow. The ride is firm but comfortable and give the car a much more secure feeling while driving.

I would avoid the Eibach Pro Kit as the rear spring rates are too soft and have a bad reputation for sagging overtime. Just do a search on LS1Tech.com, camaroz28.com, or any other f-body board and you will read about this issue Eibach owners are having.

Many owners complain of the rear of the car bottoming out while hitting bumps. Many of the Berger SS, and HotRod car owners are complaining about this, my father's car included with only 10,000 miles on the springs. And don't even think about putting any rear luggage or a stereo system in the rear as it will just aggravate the situation with the Pro Kit.

If you look at the chart below you can see the rear LS1 V8 Eibach ProKit spring rate starts out the lowest on the chart at 80 in/lbs (except for their own V6 springs).

Now before someone comes on here and says they have not had a problem with their ProKit well that's great, it just proves that Eibach has a quality control problem when many spring sets are good and just as many sag in the rear. It also seems to happen on cars that have their HP levels elevated where it seems to be less of a problem with the lower HP cars. Just some food for thought.
