  • Now considering Boyd Coddington rims

    http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...bp=&vid=004173

I can only find them in 17-8's or 18-9's. Can't find the offset for them either. I guess a trip to discount tire is in my future hopefully Friday or saturday. I was thinking the 18's out back and 17's up front. Can I fit 275's on a 8 inch rim without it looking bad? If not I will put the widest tire I can up front. Probably a 265-40-17? and out back 275's or 285's -235 or 240-18's Let me know if you have any better ideas. Probably use nitto 555 performance tires all around.

You can put 275s on an 8" rim but itll look rediculous on that car.... would look okay on older cars with smaller rims like 15".

Save yourself the pain and dont get Nitto's.

I don't plan on drag slicks anymore........Just to regular performance tires. I was thinking about laying down a good coat of zaino on the rims or a good rim polish. I am also going to switch to some break pads that don't emmit alot of dust. I don't think that the boyd rims come in 17-11's?? If they do I don't feel like going through all the trouble of fitting them on my car. Would 255's look good up front with 275's out back on those rims? How does a 18 - 17 combo look on fbody's?

1fstbrd how can you get me a better deal?

How about the 17-10's? all around? Or is that way to wide without doing some work?

I think 17X10 on the back and 17X9 on the front would look real good.

I never really considered the Smoothies. The Junkyard dogs have that TT2 look to them but a little more smoother. The smoothies kind of come out of the rim a bit? I'm going to Discount to see if they have them on the shelf to look at. What size tires should I go with on 17-10's?
