  • Tire "Stretching"

Wow, so apparently the import guys really are that much different than us. Whenever I have seen cars that have tires a bit to small for the rim, I thought that they were just being cheap. But, I stumbled across this thread, where they actually think that it looks good, and see how far they can go with it!!! A few of the guys can fit their finger in between the tire and the lip of the rim. I don't even understand how that would work, lol
    Anyway, heres a few pics.

So I talked to my import buddy about this and he says quote "the guys in japan wanted to have matching rims but it was hard for them to drift with a 10" wide tire so this was there solution...he said he runs a tire that is over-sized for his civic because he wants more grip for the track..." so his sidewalls are flexed inward...I don't think I would do it if someone paid me to try...

people do the dumbest things. Tires are expensive enough, why not get ones that acctually fit and wont blow out on you. Should be illegal, they could have a tire blow out at any point and risk the lives of those around them

my fronts are nowhere near that bad but i need a bigger tire then a 255 for my vette rims, its bothers me that they dont fit properly and but its nothing like this.
