Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Been thinking about doing big n' littles on my Formula and I really don't want to do pro stars since EVERYONE has them. I was looking on Summit's site and they have these Magg-Num wheels in the same series as their pro stars and I like the way they look. So I figured I'd ask opinions as to whether they'd look good on my car (NBM '98 Formula) Here's a pic:
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
They're supposed to look like Weld Magnum drags, a wheel I LOVE the looks of. I just can't justify (or afford) $2000 for a set of wheels that aren't even supposed to be street driven. This thread has a couple pics of them on a car... obviously the Summit rims won't look different front to rear like the Welds do, but I still think they'd be a viable option over pro stars:
Probably. I guess maybe I just need to get my suspension sorted out and maybe I can run the number on 17's. I just hate being like everyone else. I love the way Centerline Telstars look, but they're like $1000 for a set. I suppose I can get some money together later this summer and look for some used wheels. Billet Specialties makes some great looking wheels too, but again, $$$.
Trust me I know exactly how you feel, which is why I have a set of salad shooters I got off Larry for free and some MT drag radials instead of bigs and littles. I can drive to and from the track on them just fine or put them in the car and swap em there.
Make sure they fit without too much caliper grinding. From what I remember, the only summit wheels that fit with minimal grinding are the 15x8 and 15x4 summit stars (with the correct backspacing of coarse).
The only 15" wheels that will for sure fit over LS1 brakes without grinding are Bogarts ($$$). There are other options that come close but they all require some grinding either front or rear.
