need to raise the front up.. got some questions....

well as of right now i have about 1.5-2 inches of ground clearance from my exhaust to the ground.. im thinking i need to lift the front up a little but ive already swapped springs from 2 inch drop ones to one in drop ones and have seemed to gain no extra clearance. so im trying to think of ways i can do this without having to spend a bunch of money on new springs again. i have the back exactly where i want ti but just need the front up a little more..

do you guys think i could do the heaterhose mod on the front springs kinda like what u do on the rears but it would raise the front up a little?

You would need to find a thick one to make a difference.

they are stock replacement shocks about a two years old...

the hose has about is about a 1/4 inch thick so it would theoretically raise ti about that 1/4 inch

You could try the truck isle at someplace like Pep Boys. They usually have poly spring seats that should raise the springs from 1 1/2" to around 3". They sit at the bottom (or top) of the springs and will not interfere with the coils. If they make it too high, I suppose you could grind them down to what you need. I wouldn't think of going with those screw-in types though. Never heard of a good outcome with them.

yeah, get a lift kit for a truck, LOL. Maybe you need to consider baggin it then could go the height you want for driving and different for sitting.

i would love to put air bags on it but thats not going to work either because i don;t have that much money to spend on it cuz that is not cheap

Check out BMR fab web site they have 1/2" spacers that you put under the shock on the lower a-arm so you can adjust the height up a bit if needed

That would be an easy test you could do that with longer bolts and several washer to see if it works before buying the spacer.

yeah i re did the exhaust and said screw it.. it looks great with the stance it has now so im just going to adjust a few other things on the trailer to allow me to get a little mroe clearance i will just deal with it on the street
