  • Pics of my new drag setup

    Here are some pictures of my new drag setup. The fronts are Greg Weld wheels with Mickey Thompson sportsman. The rear are summit star wheels with Mickey Thompson ET Streets (the bias ply ones). The complete setup cost about $1000 and I didn't need to grind my calipers.

                        I had MT Street Radials when they first came out and I didn't like how they worked with my manual trans. They were too stiff to absorb the shock of a 5000+ rpm clutch dump.

                        I spoke with Mickey Thompson about my issues and they said that the radials are not intended for cars with a manual trans. They reccomended that I use either the ET drags or ET streets.

                        With that said however, the ET street radials are a great tire if you have an automatic. They are plenty sticky and they are very stable at the big end of the track.
