Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

You can go with with up to a 28 with out modding the car to make them fit to much. Its more about gear ratio when factoring in tire height than anything. You want to cross the traps in 4th gear at the peak RPM your car makes power.

Well again it depends on how fast you think your car is going to go in the 1/4.
You might not have enough tire/gear with a 26 to hit the kind of mph you're looking for without having to shift into 5th or hitting the limiter in 4th. Which is a reason to go up to a 27 or 28.
A larger tire like a 28 can slow you down if you don't need it tho.
The smaller tire you can effectively run the faster your car is going to be as long as you can hook it.

him some food for thought. maybe going with a 27 wouldnt be so bad. that way i ensure a little more but dont take away to much ?
Play with that for a little bit as it should give you a rough estimate or what size tire your going to need with what gears and RPM you are planning on running in the car
what kind of tire are you looking at?
I used to run 27/10.5/15 et streets and they fit perfect. the 28's required some work.
I went 1.45 60ft on all these tires
26/11.50.16 et street
27/10.50/15 et street
28/10.50s/15 et drags
ya i like the way it looks. i have 275s now, happy with them. what size rim would i need for a 275, u say 10inch is to big?
I'm not saying it is to big because it will work.
What I'm trying to say is a 275 is really all you're going to need. And with only running a 275 tire an 8in wheel would make more sense because its going to be lighter than the 10in wheel.
