  • The Summit Stars drag rims...

I was wondering if anyone on here is running the summit stars on there fbodys? If so i would to see some pictures my dad and i are looking into these rims since these rims are much cheaper than the welds. So does anyone have pros or cons on these rims? Pics would be great.

No regrets, love em!!!!!!! If you have an LS1 you'll have to do some caliper grinding, LT1's I don't think you have to grind..

LOL, yep, that was my first 1/2 wheelie.. Next time she sees the track it will be both.. I put about 2000 miles on these last year.. They were rarely off the car.. This year, not sure how much I will run them since I won't be hitting the track until I get a new rear.. But probably after the M&G they will go on since I love the look.. Just not practical to drive from here to Detroit on slicks and skinnies..lol

Gosh that car looks so slow making me jealous day after day here Larry if we could combine our cars people would kill just to get a look.

Back on topic get the summit stars for sure, its less grinding then most drag wheels and the price is not even a comparison.

I just bought the summit stars for the rear of my Camaro and I have the tires on order. Some people claim that they are a lot heavier than other drag wheels but I weighed them at 17lbs each. In my opinion the extra couple of pounds is worth the savings.

Another plus is that you don't need to grind as much. I didn't have to grind my driver side caliper at all and I only needed to knock one corner down on the passenger side. I wouldn't even consider it "grinding".
