If your seriously considering shocks and springs don't do anything untill you drive mine.
I am dead serious you need to drive my car before you make a wrong purchase.
I have Strano Springs with 4/4 Koni S/A's and the Koni's are worth there weight in gold over anything elso out there.

I ended up buying a new one (Monroe brand) from Pep Boys for $50 out the door. I found them online for anywhere from $70-$100.
When I put my lowering springs on I wanted to do it right the first time so I ordered new mounts so I wouldn't have to replace them down the road.

Usuallly it's only the passenger side; apparently there's a tiny hole that leads right into the mount where water gets in. My driver side mount (with 130k miles on it) had minimal rust and came right off.

And yeah, make sure to pack that passenger side with grease so it doesn't happen to your new combo.

          Hey Craig,

Too late I had my order placed before you even posted. I went with the KYB's because I just flat out can't afford the Konis. I understand they're a great shock but there's no way I can afford them.

You shoulda stayed with the bouncy ones.

If I ever drop the Cobalt (which I will, most likely), Konis will be my shock/strut of choice.

Considering the amount of parts you purchased Springs, Shocks, PHB, LCA, and Relocation Brackets you could of bought the Koni's and a PHB and accomplished the same thing.
Because of the dual spring perch locations on the front Koni's and the Hose mod at the rear you can effectively drop the car 3/4 of an inch without changing springs. And like I said last Night on the Phone the relocation brackets are not absolutely needed, nor are the LCA's.
I'm sure you'll be happy with your setup but just for further reference and this goes for everybody, don't post up wanting opinions and then decide and putchase 2 and 1/2 hours later before everyone has a chance to give their opinion or relate their experience.

I was hoping you'd have come on early to tell Brian...but he was just too damn excited.

...I tried to get him to order me some parts while he was at it, but he caught that one...

Nope, sorry, Koni is just out of my price range right now. There's just no way I can afford spending $200+ per shock. I don't doubt that they're a sweet setup, but I can't spend $700 on shocks.
