  • Thinking about getting some new rims

Whats up every one. Alright heres the deal I got these rims when I bough the car and 3 of them are in good condition but 1 the crome is starting to come off. So I'm thinking about just replacing these with a new set and making the old ones drag, burnout, whatever rims. What do you think or should I just have the crome redone? Also if I do get new rims what kind do you think I sould get. I was thinking eather 17" Silver Powder Coted ZR1's from Replica Wheels or again from Replica Silver Z06 17". Any thoughts would be helpful have not made my mind up yet what I should do. O and does any one have a pic of 17" Z06 Silver's on a Firebird if so could u post it please so I can take a look. Thanks

        Hey I'm Ben. Here is a Z06 setup in chrome 18" x 9.5"...

Tell you the truth I like the rims you've got a lot. They ARE NOT STOCK! Those are ZR1 Replicas. I would just have them rechromed. It would probably be cheaper than a decent set of replicas ($500-1000). In addition to that I'm finding that everyone has either the C5, or Z06 wheels. Kind of makes me wish I had invested in those Torque Thrust II's from American Racing. If I were you I would check out their site. You may also want to check out the torque thrust D ( TTII's but powdercoated Gun Metal) Awesome look on your ca'rs color. I also like the Hopster Customs. Check em out. www.americanracing.com
Also if you painted your brakes that would help set of your wheels. No reason to fix what ain't broke man. RECHROME!

Cool thanks Ben. And I was wondering if they did come stock the owner of the car gave me 2 sets of rims one was an aluminum more stock looking one 16" rim. He said he had got these tho from the dealer ship. Also does any one know where I can find the center caps from the ZR1's they have the bird on them and around it it says Collectors Edition. and then around the out side it says Performance Braking and Handling package. One of them got kind messed up some how happen b4 I bought the car has a scratch running right down the middle of it.

Hmm ya I think I'm just going to rechrome them. I love the way they look.

O ya here is a pick of the othere set of rims I got with the car I got some winter treads on them.
