Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

today i found out i scratched my ground effects which i repainted like 6 months ago and i only drove it like 5 times since then.
so can u guys can help me find shocks and struts that raise me a 1/2 inch or 1 inch.
thanks
its a 2002 pontiac firebird stock shocks and 19xxx miles on it.
coming from a fellow w68 driver who has also scratched his once, do NOT raise the car. Take it as something to help you learn to drive better, I take all steep entrances/driveways at a 45 angle sometimes more coming in, be sure to leave plenty of room next to curbs. Its just a matter of being careful, raise that car any and it will look horrible, ive even thought of lowering mine some more because our stock height seems a touch high. Besides if you scratched it near where I did the only people who could even see the scratches would be laying on the ground, dont even think about painting them again, at some point you will probably be tired or a slope will just be too much and they will scrape again..

thanx for the advise.
now i plan on touching it up with touch up paint becuz its a little bit noticable at a angle.
but now i will learn how to do those angles and go slow with it on hills.
but then once i get better at doing that i will repaint it so it will look new again.
man i wonder how many people scuffed or scratched a w68 in a test drive at a dealership.

haha, a very large amount im sure, especially if the dealership has a slight slope coming in. Mine had a couple scratches when I got it and I added one more because I was in too much of a hurry coming into a driveway, that wont happen again.

that sucks.
i learned and now i will try my best to prevent scratching it again.
where i live there are hilly entrences and exits to parking lots. there is one that is so steep i will never go there(its kfc and its really steep).
its the price you pay for having the ground effects.
