I was looking around ebay for a set of wheels and tires for the z28. I found a real nice set of 4 OEM GM silver thin spoke wheels with 65%-75% tread Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires from a C5 Corvette, with no bids, ending in about 15 mins, really local, with a starting bid of $400 and a reserve price.

I watched it for a few minutes and someone jumped on that first $400 bid and the reserve wasn't met. I thought about it for a few minutes and bid $450. I outbid the first bidder but didn't meet the reserve. The auction ended at $430 with me as the highest bidder but didn't meet the reserve.

After the auction ended I thought about it for a few minutes and came to the conclusion that I'm probably better off not getting them since right now I could afford them but I probably should save my money to catch up on bills. I'm not really behind on bills, but right now if I bought them money would be tight for about 2 weeks. About 15 mins later I get an email with a second chance offer to buy them at my $430 bid. 8-O

I really can't drive my car for about another month or so but I do need new wheels and tires since I've got a set of salad shooters on it with bald tires.

I've checked and a set of REPLICA wheels are about $459 plus shipping without tires. And around $1,100 plus shipping with tires.

What would you do?

And secondly do you like the thin spoke ones? You need some serious brakes for them to look good.

They are about 10 miles from me. No shipping. I do like the look of the thin spokes. I've seen them in person and didn't think the brakes looked awkward.
