  • Tire size & speedo error calculator

I wrote this Excel program to do tire size and speedo calculations. If you're playing with tire sizes it can be kinda interesting to mess with.
Here's a screen dump of it:

    If you're interested, I can e-mail it to you. It's only 28kb.
There are on-line programs that do the same thing. I don't think I've seen any that estimates speedo error as well.

i had a program i use to use online you typed everything in if you did major changes... gear changes/trans/and tires and it would pop out with a whole new list for the speedo for ya.. mines pretty bad off right now with taller rear tires/4.10 gears/ and a 400th... pretty much drive untill you see flashing lights..

acctually matt when you get taller tires... a larger gear becomes more corrected... mine was off like 15mph when i first got it on stock tires between like 1-55 now its only like 8-10 mph off with the fatter taller tires on back... if only i could fit some super swampers on the back it would be correct again...lol ya right

Probably your easiest thing to do would be to attach it in a post in this thread so that anyone that wants to can download it. It's your work, so if you want to pass it around manually or post it for download, that's up to you.

I thought we could only attach pictures? The attachment pull-down allows pictures, .mov, .txt and .zip files. Is there a way to attach an .xls file, or do I need to zip it... (...zip it good!)
