  • Buying a new set of rims, what tires to get?

I'm going to buy another set of the Summitt Star wheels for the rear, 15X8. I want to have a set with regular street tires for cruisin so I don't wear out the ET Streets(I want to drive these rims to the M&G and don't want to waste the ET streets on the cruise). What do you recommend in a 275/50/15? Not looking for top of the line, just nice cruisin tires with a fairly aggressive tread.. Thanks! Anyone running these: Kumho Ecsta STX Tires

I want a set for the track(with Drag radials or slicks mounted) and would like an identical set with street tires for cruisin... I really like the way these star wheels look and will be running them all year.. Doubt you'll see the budniks again this year...

But I like those wheels. Your going to have more sets of wheels to choose from than I've got shoes.

Buy some nitto's, You can get between 20-30K on a set and they still hook years better than street tires

thats not going to be fun driving withthe skinnys up front doing 65-70 on the high way... but i would second the idea of sum nittos 555rs on the rear so if your cruising you still can hook up

Yeah, since this post I have reconsidered.. Specifically for the reason you mentioned, don't think the skinnies would be highway friendly.. So I'm just going to use these around town(ocassionally) and at the track, when cruisin I'll put the Budniks back on..

LOL, now that would look funny having the budniks on one side and the drag wheels on the other and cruisin to detroit....lol
