Reccomend me some brands and exactly what I should get. I need to do ALL new brakes, obviously all disc. The brakes on it now are shot. I want to do a nice brake. However I don't want to spend $800+ type deal. I have about $400. What should I get, anything you would reccomend? Anything to stay away from? Thanks for the help once again.

The brakes suck on the LT1 cars. I'm currently collecting parts for a C5 Corvette brake upgrade. You can spend around $500 if you get cheaper rotors. Otherwise you can find a LS1 front brake kit for $200 or so. What I found with the LS1 swaps is that you will likely be spending another few hundred on upgraded rotors and pads anyway. If I were you I would just turn your stock rotors, and get some good pads. Save your money and upgrade later. Thats what I did, and I'm pretty happy with my Hawk ceramic pads on stock rotors. They don't compare to the LS1 brakes, but they work a bit better than stock. I don't see slotted rotors helping out lt1 brakes at all. I've heard people say that they do, but I just can't see it helping with such a small rotor size.
