  • Autosol Metal Polish

    Has anyone ever used this?

I have a lil stain on my polished wheels and been trying for the LONGEST time to get it out.

Anyways I stubbled upon this..one of my wheels look exactly like this..well not the wheel type but the stains

    with a can of Autosol

Time for me to save up and buy some of this...Its expensive but it gets the job done And that shine looks f'ing great

for a bare aluminum rim like that one. some fine 2000 or even 3000 wet sand paper and meguires metal polish will do just the same. what needs to be done is the water stains/corrossion needs to be removed then polished/buffed back out. any one of these "miracle" polishes on the market don't work any better then the one before in my experiences, it's all in the elbow grease and sanding down to a solid base

If you try it let me know. I used Zoop seal when I first got my wheels. It seems to work okay, but if you polish them you need to reapply the sealant. The best thing I've used so far is Mothers billet polish and the good old power ball. Its getting to the point now where they could use some more aggressive polish to get that bling back.

Let me know, I'm always cleaning my rims. And YES I like my polished aluminum, even if it takes me longer to clean.
I run that small mothers powerball around what I can. With the mothers metal polish.
But I'm always up for new things.
Stick that on the powerball and see what happens.

I have alluminum wheels on my car as well, and have used autosol. If you ask me it works great, after you use it you will be blinding other motorists with the bling.
