  • Always pay attention!

I just finished installing my QA1 front shocks and springs. Put a spring compressor on to ease in tightening the ride height nut and when I was done I noticed the coil wasn't seated on the nut correctly.. Did some looking around and noticed I had the fricken spring in upside down!!!! Don't know if this matters with regular shocks and springs on the front but it does with QA1's... Luckily I accidently put the other side on right, so there is a bright spot... I only have to redo 1 side!!! Sucks though, have to take the drivers side completely apart again, you know what I'll be doing this weekend...

Well the nice thing about coil overs is you can loosen the ride height nut and relieve all the tension in the spring before you remove it from the car.. I was just using a spring compressor to keep the spring compressed after install so I could tighten the nut easier..

good thing you caught it in time...

Hitting a bump would cause one side of the car to go up and the other would go down...

                That would be funny!

I always get confused with that too. I don't know why but the logo on the springs are always upsidedown, why would they do that? That's what gets me...It fits this way but is it suppose to go the other way, lol.
