I got a great deal on front SA Koni shocks. I paid $360 shipped. They have 01 SS Camaro springs already installed so I could just bolt them on my car as is. Will this be a good idea? Or should I put my LT1 springs in since my car is probably heavier up front. I plan on using the lower spring perch and I'm not sure if they are installed on the lower perch yet. I won't know until I see them in person this week. Either way I think I got a great deal. I just need to get a set for the back now.

They were used for that much? I got my 1LE Koni DA's for less than that new. The LS1's have a lower spring rate since the LS1 is lighter. You could put them on and see how it sits before tearing them apart to put them on the lower perch if they're not already. I ordered my rear SA's from Summit since they seem to be the same price everywhere. Gotta love Summit's free shipping and can get stuff usually next day if you order in time.

You got a great deal then Wade. I was very close to paying the $270 a piece for the fronts a few days ago, before I ran into these on ebay. It could turn out being a little less work, if I keep the 01 springs on. I'll find out in a few days I guess.

I watched them most of the week, and took the plunge just minutes before the auction ended. Hopefully they have some life left. He said the car had 40,000 miles, but the shocks looked like they were recently added.Originally posted by GETGONE View PostDid you get them from F parts? I was watching those to see what they went for. More than I wanted to pay for used ones. I've been thinking of buying another set of shocks and lowering springs so I can swap back and forth on the V6 for summer and winter.
Any idea how different the 01 spring rates are from the LT1's?
